The Kerian District is an administrative district in Perak, Malaysia. It is one of the main rice-growing area in the state. Its local government is Majlis Daerah Kerian or Kerian District Council which is based at Parit Buntar. From the 2010 Population and Housing Census, Kerian has a population of 173,625.
