Kenworthy Wood orchard, Northenden is an orchard within Kenworthy Wood, which can be found in Northenden, Manchester, directly across the river Mersey to the South of Chorlton Water Park.

History of the orchard
The orchard was created by the Mersey Valley Countryside Wardens with help from pupils of Oakwood School in 1996, with funding from the Coop Bank. There are a variety of fruit trees including apples, pears, cherries, and soft fruit including currants, raspberries and loganberries.
Its land was formerly part of Kenworthy Farm, whose farmhouse was demolished when the M63 motorway (now part of the M60 motorway) was built.
Future of the orchard
The orchard, along with Hardy Farm orchard on the Chorlton Water Park side of the river, has started to become quite well known among local people, and been a source of great enthusiasm among those who discover it.
A group has now been set up led by members of Abundance Manchester to help with the upkeep and long term planning of the site. They have received funding to organise consultancy, workdays and workshops, aimed at bringing the site to full flourishing.
