Route description
KY 174 begins at a junction with U.S. Route 60 (US 60) in Hays Crossing in Rowan County. The only other major junction in the county is with KY 3318, which terminates at KY 174. KY 174 enters Carter County west of Soldier. In town, it has a junction with KY 1626 and KY 3296. In Silica, KY 174 intersects KY 955. KY 1620 intersects east of Limestone. In Clark Hill, KY 174 terminates at a junction with US 60. All routes in Carter County except US 60 terminate at KY 174.
