Route description
KY 1287 heads east from US 127 as East Adair Street. KY 1287 begins head north after exiting the Owenton city limits. KY 1287 then meets KY 3095 northeast of Owenton. KY 1287 then begins heading due east as Old Sweet Owen Road. After about 3 miles (4.872 km), KY 1287 meets its northern terminus at KY 22 southeast of Sweet Owen.
