Kenny Simpkins was a Welsh goalkeeper (soccer player) who played professionally in the 1960s. After five unproductive years at Wrexham he joined Hartlepool during which time he played for the Welsh Under 23 side. He married a, "local, but not too local" girl and still lives in the area.
