Admiral Sir Kenneth John Eaton (born 12 August 1934) is a Royal Navy officer who served as Controller of the Navy between 1989 and 1994.

Early life

Eaton was educated at Borden Grammar School and Fitzwilliam College, Cambridge.

Eaton joined the Royal Navy and was confirmed as a Sub-lieutenant in 1957. He was appointed Assistant Director of Communications Planning in 1979, Assistant Director of Command Systems in 1981, Director of Torpedoes in 1983 and Director-General of Underwater Weapons for the Navy in 1985. He went on to become Commander of HM Naval Base Portsmouth in 1987 and Controller of the Navy in 1989.

Later life

In retirement he became Chairman of Guy's & St Thomas' NHS Trust, the United Kingdom Atomic Energy Authority and the Mary Rose Trust. He was also honorary Rear-Admiral of the United Kingdom from 2001 to 2007. He became Chairman of the Society for Nautical Research in 2011.

Family

In 1959 he married Sheena Buttle; they have two sons and a daughter.
