Career

Yeung Kwok Mung joined TOM in the capacity of COO since 1 February 2008. On 26 March 2008, Yeung was appointed CEO & Executive Director of the company. Prior to TOM, Yeung was previously the Director of Horizons Ventures Ltd, a privately owned investment holding company with key investment in technology and other businesses worldwide. He was also the Co-Founder, President and Chief Operating Officer of 36.com Holding Co. Ltd.

Yeung spent over six years at McKinsey & Company, Inc. in Sydney, Melbourne and Hong Kong, covering mainly telecommunications, electronics and e-commerce industry sectors in the area of business strategy, business re-engineering and operational improvements.

Yeung began his career at Sun Microsystems as Engineer in its R&D Center in California in 1989. He then worked for Coca-Cola China Limited as Director of Strategy for Coco-Cola Greater China. He also held various management positions in operations, business development and sales & marketing at General Electric.

With a strong background in technology, Yeung is also referred to as an IT expert in the industry.

Education

Yeung graduated from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in the US with a perfect Grade Point Average (GPA) in both his Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and Master's degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. He enrolled in the United World College in the US on a 2-year full scholarship from the Hong Kong Government and graduated with full distinction for the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma.

Personal life

Yeung was born and raised in Hong Kong and speaks fluent English, Mandarin and Cantonese. He is married and has two sons. Jonathan Yeung and James Yeung
