Ken Seiff (born October 27, 1964) is an American entrepreneur and venture capitalist. He is best known for founding Beanstalk Ventures. Prior to that he was Executive Vice President of Direct and OmniChannel at Brooks Brothers, America's oldest retailer.

Early life

Seiff was born in New York City. His parents were Eric and Sari Seiff and he has one brother and three sisters. He attended Phillips Academy at Andover and graduated in 1982. Seiff then went on to the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Economics in 1986.

Career

He began his career as a management consultant at Lorne Weil, Inc., a New York-based strategic planning and corporate development consulting firm. In 1991 he founded Pivot Rules a men's golf lifestyle sportswear company. The company went public in 1997 and in 1998 Seiff along with his board of directors decided to sell the brand. In 1998 he launched Bluefly, an online retailer of designer brands, fashion trends and superior value. This company was taken over by Soros Private Equity Partners.

He also served as the Executive Vice President of Omni-Channel at Brooks Brothers.

Beanstalk was founded as a partnership between Ken Seiff and Novel TMT. Beanstalk Ventures is a venture capital firm focused on early stage investments in retail technology with a B2B focus. Beanstalk Ventures has a partnership with Novel TMT, the global technology group of Silas Chou and family, who backed the Michael Kors and Tommy Hilfiger businesses.

He founded Diet Channel Network Inc. in 2006 and was its Chief Executive Officer. In 2009 Seiff conceived and then partnered with Chris Burch (ex-husband of Tory Burch) to launch Poppin, a design centric office supply company. He co-founded Simply Gum in January 2014 with Caron Proschan.

He served as a Board Member of the National Retail Federation as well as Shop.org. He serves as a Director of Bricksolve, Inc., Inturn, Inc, PredictSpring, Inc., Automaton, Inc. and Reachify, Inc.

Personal life

Ken Seiff lives in Westchester with his wife, Nikki and children, Reade and Sydney.
