Ken Mahoney is a financial adviser, multiple Tony Award winner, three-time Emmy award winner, Grammy nominated producer, published author and speaker, Board Member of the Make a Wish Hudson Valley and CEO of Mahoney Asset Management. Achievements

Mahoney has sat on the advisory board of the House of Representatives Banking and Finance Committee, taught finance at the Dominican College, and chaired United Way of New York City Special Events. Mahoney also served as a member of the Board of Directors for Meals on Wheels for seven years.

Mahoney's opinions on the world of finance have been published nationally. His market comments and perspectives are published in the Hudson Valley Business Weekly and his financial opinions have been published by USA Today, as well as by other local publications. He is a familiar quoted figure in the business pages of The Journal News and was a member of the newspaper's Business Leaders Roundtable.

Mahoney created the Westchester Stock Index and the Rockland Stock Index, composed of local companies, both of which have appeared in a number of newspapers and compared to national indexes.

He is currently the Co-Chair of the Business Council of the Make-a-Wish Foundation of Hudson Valley, a foundation that helps raise funds to support the mission of granting wishes to children and is on the Board of Richmond Community Services, which aims to provide support to people and their families with developmental disabilities. He is also a regular guest speaker at numerous business associations, corporations and other organizations.

Since 1992, Mahoney has published the financial newsletter, The Smart Investor and became co-publisher and writer of The Rockland Business Digest, a publication that is distributed to over 11,000 businesses in the community since 2006.

Mahoney is one of the producers of the Broadway hit Bonnie & Clyde which is opened on December 1, 2011 at the Gerald Schoenfeld Theatre in New York City. He is also one of the producers of Broadway's Gershwin's Porgy and Bess.

Mahoney is the producer of the 2012 remake of Playwright Gore Vidal's The Best Man, with an all-star cast of James Earl Jones, Candice Bergen, Angela Lansbury and John Larroquette. He is also the Executive Producer of the 2012 cast recording of How to Succeed in Business with Nick Jonas of the Jonas Brothers.

He was two-time nominated for a Tony Award, as producer of Broadway hits Gershwin's Porgy and Bess (Best Revival of a Musical), and The Best Man (Best Revival of a Play). His shows have received a total of 14 nominations. In 2012, he won a Tony Award for 2012 Best Revival of a Musical, Gershwin's Porgy and Bess.

Mahoney is also the executive producer of Joe DiPietro's Nice Work if You Can Get It (2010) with Matthew Broderick. Nice Work was nominated for 10 Tony Awards and features the music of George Gershwin. It was also nominated for a Grammy for Best Musical Theater Album in the 2013 Grammy Awards.

In the 2011-2012 season, Mahoney's shows had 14 Drama Desk nominations, and 10 Outer Critics Circle nominations. In 2013, he won awards for his role as producer from the Outer Circle Critics, Drama League Award and Drama Desk.

In 2014, Mahoney was once again nominated for another Grammy for Matilda the Musical in the Best Musical Theater Album category. He won three Emmy Awards as Executive Producer of Due Process, a TV investigative show that airs on PBS.

In 2015, Mahoney was nominated for two Tony Awards in the 2015 season. On the Town was nominated for a Tony Award for Best Revival of a Musical and An American in Paris was nominated for Best New Musical. An American in Paris won four Tony Awards. Mahoney also won a Drama League Award and an Outer Circle Critics Award for his role as Producer in An American in Paris.

TV and Radio

Mahoney is the producer for the award winning television series Due Process and was nominated for an Emmy in 2014.

Mahoney has hosted numerous radio shows over the years. He hosted WRKL Radio's Smart Investor show from 1992 to 1998, and co-hosted the show Financial Mobility on WRKL and TKR. He also hosted the Invest In Your Community show in the early 1990s.

He currently hosts a market report, Rockland Business Digest, every morning on WRCR (1300 AM)'s Morning Drive Show with Sophia Salis, on WTBQ (The Frank Truatt Morning Show) and again on WHUD (100.7 WHUD).

As of 2013, Mahoney is a Financial Contributor to Fox Business and Ebru TV and has appeared on CNBC and WPIX. He regularly appears on CNBC's Closing Bell, Today and Melissa Francis' Money on Fox Business.

Since 2015, Mahoney has been guest hosting a financial segment on the America Weekend Radio Program and also gives the daily market report on WRCR, 1700am.
