Kelsey Duryea once said “As a goalie, staying in the game mentally is probably the hardest thing. You have to be in the right mindset, like staying calm and not getting down on yourself, and trusting your teammates to also perform well. As you learn more technique, getting hit by the ball is less a factor, so you don’t really think about it as much at this level.’’

The Governor's Academy

Kelsey Duryea was a four year varsity lacrosse player at the Governor's Academy. She was ranked #1 goalie for girls high school lacrosse for ESPN 2011-2012.

She was ranked fourth nationally in saves, saves per game, save percentage, and ground balls per game. She became the first freshman goaltender in Duke history to be named to the IWLCA All-America's second term. Kelsey has gone on to be one of the top collegiate goal keepers in the nation as she begins to conclude her Senior campaign for the Blue Devils.
