Keelaiyur is a village in the Kilvelur taluk of Nagapattinam district, Tamil Nadu, India. It is located between Nagappattinam and Thiruthuraipoondi. A land locked village and agriculture is the main occupation and Paddy is the lone crop which is being cultivated. It is located 20 km from the District Capital Nagapattinam and 350 km away from the state capital Chennai.

As of 2001 census, Keelaiyur had a total population of 3139 with 1577 males and 1562 females.

As on 2015, keelaiyur is having a Govt Higher Sec School and a Govt elementary school.
