Kawalwadi (कावळवाडी) is a small village in Solapur District in Karmala Tahsil of Maharashtra state, India. It shares the boundary of Solapur, Ahmednagar and Pune Districts. In Karmala Taluka, its only a village where only one caste of people lives i.e. Dhangar. Traditionally, socially and economically village is enriched.

Language
Marathi is the widely spoken language in Kawalwadi.
Occupation
The population of village is 642 (2016), as per voters list October 2015 There are 333 male and 309 female voters and the main occupation of most of people is agriculture. All villagers belong to Hindu-Dhangar (NT-C).
Sugarcane is the main crop cultivated by most of farmers, as this is the cash crop and the weather is suitable for it. Here, black cotton soil gives large production of sugar crops. Nowadays some farmers have started cultivation of other crops such as Papaya, Banana and Dalimb. For the purpose of irrigation, water is brought from the River Bhima, which is just 2 km away from this village. Nearby villages in 5 km radius are Jinti, Bhilarwadi, Ramwadi, Babhulgav, Shimpora, Manewadi and Khed.
Industry
In Karmala taluka there are 4 sugar factories "Adinath Sugar Factory,Bhalwani" and "Makai Suagar Factory,Bhilarwadi" and "Bhairawnath Sugar Factory" Near "Vihal" Gaon & "Kamlabhani sugar Factory,Karmala".
Education
This is one of the fastest socially and economically developing village in Solapur district. In Kawalwadi, ZP conduct Primary school up to 5th Standard, then for Highschool education students have to go 3 km away to Jinti Highschool named S.U.Rajebhosale.
Central railway is passed from here so plays very convenient role in transport of passengers and goods.
Social
A Social Organisation Yashkalyani Sevabhavi Sanstha, Pune has built a Yashkalyani Balvikas Kendra for the Social Development of Village. This Social Organisation has conducted various social Activities like Distribution of Bicycles to Village Girls, Solar Lamps, LED Lamps, Economical Help to Poors, Awards, Study Tours etc.
