Kavajë District' (Albanian: Rrethi i Kavajës) was one of the thirty-six districts of Albania (which were dissolved in 2000) that is now part of Tirana County. Centrally located in the Western Lowlands region of the country, it stretched over an area of 400.8 km². It consisted of 2 municipalities and 8 communes which made up 67 villages. Its population at the 2001 census was 78,179 inhabitants.
