Early and Personal Life

Kathryn comes from the small town of Wetaskiwin in Alberta, Canada, where she grew up without a TV. So when she finally got to watch movies, she found herself wanting to be a part of them.

From 2010 till 2015, she entered the Pipeline/Heavy Industrial and Commercial Construction Industry as a welder’s apprentice and worked for one of Canada’s largest construction companies. That was due to her father and grandfather’s influence, who were both pipeliners and taught her the trade from an early age.

While working there, she decided to pursue her passion for acting and made the bold move to leave for New York to study at the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute in 2016. There, she took various courses, including method acting, monologue, improvisation, vocal production, acting for film and TV, as well as acting on camera courses to develop her acting.

She also studied at the Broadway Dance Centre, where she took both Hip Hop and Jazz Funk dance classes.

She took up residence in Toronto, Canada, since returning from New York. There, she partook in several acting courses at the Armstrong Acting Studios and the Pro Actors Lab to better herself at her craft.

She then played a supporting lead in another Hallmark movie, Love at Look Lodge (2020), and played the lead character “Joan” in Kitty Mamas (2020).

Kathryn also performed at the theatre in New York City. She had leading roles in all the following productions; Hooters, Talk to me Like the Rain, and Two for the Seesaw.
