Early life and career
For thirty years, Kathleen Burkett managed a small service business in Overland. She now works as a consultant in the same field. She is a member of the Overland Business Association and the North West Chamber of Commerce.
Political career
Kathleen Burkett has been a Director of the Community Fire Protection District, the President of the North Central County 911 Fire Alarm System, a municipal Police Advisory Board member, and a member of the County Board of Highways and Traffic. She is also a member of the National Women's Political Caucus. She has been a member of the St. Louis County Council since 2002. She represents the second district, which contains about 145,000 people.
