Kate Hornsey (born 19 October 1981, in Hobart) is a retired Australian three-time world champion, dual Olympian and Olympic silver medal winning rower.

Rowing career

Hornsey took up rowing when she was 12 years old in New Norfolk, Southern Tasmania.

Her senior rowing has been with the New Norfolk club and the Mercantile Rowing Club in Melbourne, and her first Australian Olympic selection was for Beijing 2008 when she rowed in the Australian women's VIII who finished sixth. In March 2012 Hornsey was selected in a Coxless pair with Sarah Tait, the pair won the silver medal at the 2012 Olympic Games in London.

Hornsey officially announced her retirement from competitive Rowing on 24 October 2014.
