Karaugh Brown is a Boston-area folk singer/songwriter. She released her first EP in 2000, and later that year she met Bill Morrissey at Club Passim. Morrissey offered to let her open for him at several of his shows, and then produced her first full-length album, which was released in 2002. The same year, she was invited to showcase on the main stage at the Falcon Ridge Folk Festival. Her song "Buffalo" appeared on the "Respond II" compilation, a benefit for domestic violence causes, in 2003. Her second album, "Favorite Daughter", was released in late 2005. She is married to writer James O'Brien.
