Karan Thakur is an Indian actor and anchor. He has worked in some of the famous TV shows like Bhagyavidhaata, Badi door se aaye hai and many other episodic roles in shows like Savdhan India (LIfe OK), C.I.D (Sony), Crime Patrol (Sony) and Haunted Nights(sahara One). He has also done many ad films as well for many known brands. He is currently working for Shop CJ channel as a Show host.

Early life
Karan Thakur was born in Mumbai, but did his higher studies from New Delhi as his family shifted to the capital. As a child he was always interested in theaters, plays and extra curricular activities which motivated him to built his career in same field.
Education
Karan Thakur has done Primary schooling from Swami Vivekanand School Mumbai and higher studies from Yuvashakti School, New Delhi. Further he got his Bachelor's in arts degree from Motilal Nehru College, Delhi University. Karan did his Post Graduation Diploma in Radio and Television Journalism from Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, New Delhi and Masters in Mass communication from Guru Jambeshwar University, Hisar.
Television
Karan Thakur started his journey as a TV actor with a cameo role in show Sasural genda phool for Start plus in the year 2010 but very soon he grabbed a parallel lead role in colors channel show Bhagyavidhaata. After the show went off air he did many episodic roles in shows like 'C.I.D', 'Crime Patrol', 'Haunted Nights' and 'Savdhan India'. In Year 2012 He did a negative role in Colors show 'Na bole tum na meine kuch kaha - Season 2'. He shifted back to comedy with show 'Badi door se aaye' on SAB TV in year 2014 as Scientist Rajender for which he was also nominated in 'Sab ke anokhe awards'. Later in year 2015 he was seen as Dr Manish in SAB Tv's Comedy show Woh teri Bhabi hai Pagle.
Anchoring
Karan Thakur started working as an anchor at a very young age and during his college days he use to host Corporate events, Game Shows and mall activities in various parts of country. He got his first big break in anchoring when he was selected as a red carpet host for Radio Mirchi's 'Mirchi Music awards'. RED CARPET. Further he also worked as a show host for Shop CJ home shopping Channel.
