Kanhangad Ramachandran is a Malayalee singer and musician from Cherukunnu,Kannur,Kerala. He is better known as one of the disciples of singer Padmabhushan Dr. K. J. Yesudas. He is the first Indian in the mid 80s to hold the title for singing non-stop for 25 hours in the Guinness Book of World Records. He has over 25,000 stage performances to his credit all over India and abroad. Ramchandran has performed at Thyagaraja festival at Kalpathy and at Kollur Mookambika Temple.
He is performing Carnatic songs at various ceremonies in India as well as abroad . He worked as a music teacher ,at Durga High School, Kanhangad.Currently he is running Vykhari Recording Studio and Music Teaching classes at Cherukunnu,Kannur.

Musical career

His father was a legendary Musician, Shri.C.K.Panicker who was indeed a popular Theyyam Artist too.He had so many students from various parts of kerala including K.Raghavan Master. Every year on August 15th, they conduct a Memorial Day Event with an Award function.

Kaithapram Damodaran Namboothiri received the First Award in 2015.

Padma Shri.Mattannur Shankaran Kutty was felicitated by this award in 2016.
