She began her career in 2004, has worked with many Japanese artists such as Namie Amuro, EXILE, E-girls as well as international artists like Che'Nelle, Girls' Generation, SHINee, BoA and Red Velvet.
She has accrued more than 12 Oricon No. #1 hits, including " Magic Power (Hey! Say! JUMP)" by Hey! Say! JUMP, and wrote the 5th most searched lyrics of 2015 "Happiness" by Che'Nelle.

Career

Okajima’s early success was as a lyricist, writing words for over 250 songs. Then, in 2012, she started working as a top-liner and soon her talent in this new field became apparent. She is now known as one of the most successful songwriters in Asia.
Her writing covers many different styles from uplifting pop (for a brand new boyband) to stylish dance (for a glamorous diva), and her recent work includes many established artists such as Namie Amuro, EXILE, Girls Generation, E-Girls, SMAP, BoA, Hey! Say! Jump to name just a few.
It’s not only in Japan that Okajima has gained recognition. Her reputation has spread worldwide and she is now exclusively signed to Swedish publisher, Roastinghouse Music – the first ever Japanese songwriter to achieve this.
