KLO (1430 kHz) is an AM news/talk radio station licensed to Ogden, Utah and serving the Salt Lake City metropolitan area. The station is owned by Capital Broadcasting.

KLO operates at 25,000 watts by day and 5,000 watts at night. KLO's skywave signal has been heard as far away as Casa Grande, Arizona at night. Capital Broadcasting's offices and studios are in the 257 Tower Building on East 200 South in Salt Lake City. KLO's transmitter is near the Great Salt Lake Shorelands Preserve in Layton, Utah. All four of KLO's towers are different heights, which is unusual.
Programming
KLO airs nationally syndicated conservative talk shows, mostly from the Salem Radio Network, including Hugh Hewitt, Dennis Prager, Michael Medved and Mike Gallagher. KLO also carries Laura Ingraham from 7 to 10 a.m. and Overnight America with Jon Grayson, from the CBS Radio Network, from 1 to 4 a.m. KLO's weekend schedule includes repeats of weekday programs, syndicated shows from Clark Howard and Doug Stephan, Old-time radio shows and paid programming.
History
KLO originally signed on in 1925, making it one of Utah's oldest radio stations. Its first call letters were KFUR but the current call sign was chosen in the 1930s in honor of Mt. Lomond located near Ogden. KLO was the flagship station of the Interstate Broadcasting Corporation, later the Intermountain Network.
In 2012, Capital Broadcasting purchased KJQN (today KSQN) from the Simmons Media Group for $1.5 million and began to simulcast KLO's programming on 103.1 FM. The purchase was approved by the Federal Communications Commission in July and KJQN promptly changed its call letters to KLO-FM. On Monday June 9, 2014, 103.1 FM switched to Adult contemporary music as "Sunny 103", and KLO's programming is once again available only on the AM dial.
