Early life

K-Slick Introducing KSlick and His New Video Finally Home

K-Slick is of Trinidadian descent. He began rapping at the age of 15.

After performing for multiple places without even releasing his first mix tape, K-Slick as well as his music was becoming highly popular. As a result, he was asked to perform as an opening act for Canibus. The Canibus performance was a huge success in Toronto with K-Slick pumping up the crowd as the opening act. Multiple radio stations played his songs as they were highly requested. He later toured with Choclair in Canada and opened for Joe Budden at The Opera House in Toronto, Ontario. He also opened up for Killah Priest and Jadakiss.

Career

After K-Slick Opened for Joe Budden, he decided to release his first mixtape titled Twenty-One which was released in July 2013. This mixtape was met with great reviews and much success that he was able to tour internationally in Peru. The popular song from Twenty-One titled Honest Truth really skyrocketed K-Slicks fanbase causing him to receive over 1.3 million collective views.

In September 2014, he met with Atlantic Records in LA and considered signing to them. All of these events led K-Slick to his mixtape release, K-9 vs. the Industry. This fourteen track project is only the second mixtape released by the Toronto rapper but caused a huge buzz in the music world. Some of the buzz has come from the hit single Last Breath ft. Joell Ortiz, but most of the attention is from the industry diss track Fully Loaded. In this track K-Slick tells it like it is regarding the top names in entertainment.

K-Slick has been featured in the November 2014 issue of XXL (magazine) on an entire page.

On January 11 2016 K-Slick released a new album titled Twenty-Three. The album showcases his versatility as one of the most talented upcoming rappers in the game.The album starts with track “So Good”, and it lets you know the exact high calibre of music to expect from the project. The album also features G-Unit’s Tony Yayo on hard hitting track “Too Loud”

Personal life

K-Slick states some of his musical influences are Tupac Shakur, Ice Cube, DMX (rapper), 50 Cent and Joe Budden.

In late 2013, K-Slick hooked up with his friend Nunez to form the rap group K-9 which they are both a part of. Before rapping he drove an old Pontiac and after the success he’s had so far he now drives a Hummer.

In late 2012, K-Slick went through a breakup with his long-time girlfriend of 6 years after he found out she was cheating on him. This is the inspiration for many tracks such as Finally Home, Honest Truth and Klaudia.
