Bonomo's biggest tournament cash to date came in April 2012 when he won the Monte Carlo European Poker Tour (EPT) Super High Roller €100,000 buy-in event with a grand prize of over €1,640,000 ($2,167,588). The final table featured Tobias Reinkemeier, Bertrand Grospellier, Patrik Antonius, Masa Kagawa, Daniel Negreanu, Jonathan Duhamel and Eugene Katchalov.

Bonomo became the youngest player to be featured at a televised final table on February 19, 2005, when he placed fourth during the inaugural year of the EPT at the French Open in Deauville, France. He was 19 at the time.

Other notable tournament accomplishments include making four final tables at the World Poker Tour Bellagio Five Diamond Classic in December 2006. He capped this run with a seventh-place finish in the main event, earning $152,000 and just missing the televised final table. At the WSOP Bonomo has won 1 bracelet and made 7 final tables. His bracelet came in 2014 in event Event #11: No-Limit Hold'em Six Handed. It should be noted that he came in second in the previous event in which he played. It was Event #5: Limit 2-7 Triple Draw Lowball. This was his third runner-up finish after which he lamented on Twitter, “Always a bride’s maid, never a bride.” In the 2009 World Series of Poker he won over $400,000 in the $40,000 buy in event that commemorated the 40th anniversary of the WSOP. He beat Michael Mizrachi heads up to win the 2009 World Series of Poker Circuit Event at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas.In 2014 World Series of Poker he won the $ 1,500 No Limit Hold'em - Six Handed (Event #11) for $449,980.
