Just One Smile Is Very Alluring (Chinese: 微微一笑很倾城; lit. The drama is a huge commercial success in China. It is currently the most watched Chinese modern drama, with over 19 billion views online.
Plot
Bei Wei Wei (Zheng Shuang) is the campus goddess, who also excels in her studies. She aspires to be an online game designer/engineer, and goes by the alias of Luwei Weiwei in the online role-playing game Dreaming of Jianghu. After she gets dumped by her online husband Zhenshui Wuxiang, she gets approached by the number one player Yixiao Naihe, who suggested that they get married so they both can participate in a couple competition within the game. The newly formed couple instantly hit it off, and undergo many adventures together in the game.
However, Wei Wei never expected the real identity of her virtual husband to be her college senior, Xiao Nai (Yang Yang) who is described as the cream of the crop in both sports and academics. When Wei Wei discovers his true identity, they have already fallen in love with each other. Together, they face many obstacles as due to their good looks, many are jealous of them. What happens to their relationship then?

Upon release, it became a hot-issued topic, gaining a large number of views in a short time and attention from media outlets, with Zheng Shuang and Yang Yang getting praised for their portrayal in the drama. The storyline is unique because the drama shows the characters inside the game, which relates to fans. The drama is so well done with building the story and follow closely in accordance to the original novel. And the chemistry between Xiao Nai’s friends and the special bonds between Wei Wei and her friends are indeed fantastic.
However the whole drama is very short and the lack of content is balanced by the cheesy dialogues and interesting conversations. And the second half managed to bring a lot of interesting topics on friendship, life, rivalry, and university life, and young love.
Yang Yang experienced a surge in popularity, allowing him to top the Vlinkage Celebrity List for 13 times in 6 months. It has been watched streaming over 19 billion views on Youku channel with rating 9.9/10, and over 100 million views on YouTube Croton Mega Hit channel being the highest viewership for Chinese drama.
