Jupiter Ray Project is a Canadian folk music band formed by husband-wife duo Shannon Ross and Jack Pelletier in Wakefield, Quebec. Ross plays the guitar and provides vocals while Pelletier plays the guitar, keyboards, and provide backing vocals. They are gaining popularity in Ottawa. The band played at Westfest 2007 and were scheduled to play at the Nortel Dragon Boat Race on June 23, 2007. Some of their influences include Neil Young, Cowboy Junkies, Jenny Lewis of Rilo Kiley, Bob Dylan, Emmylou Harris.
