Translation Work

In April 2009, Jugurtha published Martin L. Gore: Lays, a selection of lyrics illustrated by German artist Klaus Voormann in book form. Acclaimed British songwriter Martin Gore first greenlighted the effort in 1994. Lays, seems to be the first book about Gore's lyrics and poetry. The book is 216 pages and compiles Martin Gore’s lyrics for 87 Depeche Mode songs, written between 1981 and 2005, including the first 11 studio albums, plus some B-sides.

A laudatory blurb was contributed by The Smiths guitarist Johnny Marr. Placebo bass player Stefan Olsdal and Nick Cave also contributed to the book.

Lays's foreword was written by rock journalist, Gérard Bar-David (Rolling Stone, Best). The book was positively received by critics and the public alike (the book Lays sold 6,000 copies and is at its second run).

Jugurtha's next book effort will be devoted to Leonard Cohen's songs.

Finance and Economics

Jugurtha held risk-management positions at Crédit Lyonnais New York (now Calyon), UBS, and Merrill Lynch, where he became a Managing Director in December 2007. He earned degrees in Engineering at the Grenoble Institute of Technology and Finance both in Grenoble, France.

Geopolitics

Jugurtha's political writings are published independently of any organization, through the webpage Utterances.net launched in late 2012.
