The Judicial Complaints Reviewer (JCR) is a Scottish public ombudsman. The post was established in 2011 as a result of the Judiciary and Courts (Scotland) Act 2008. The JCR is an appointment made by the Cabinet Secretary for Justice, with the approval of the Lord President. The current Judicial Complaints Reviewer, Gillian Thompson, was appointed on 1 September 2014.

Her role is to review how complaints regarding members of the judiciary have been handled by the Judicial Office for Scotland, to ensure that they have been dealt with in accordance its own rules: the Complaints About the Judiciary (Scotland) Rules 2013.

The JCR service is open to those who have complained about the conduct of a member of the judiciary, and also to members of the judiciary who have been the subject of a complaint.
