  8. Chama Cha Uzalendo (CCU)

  10. The National Alliance Party (TNA)
  11. The Independence Party (TIP)

This was officially done on the 7th of September 2016, when all the parties had their respective National Delegates Conference (NDC).

All these parties had a common goal and vision, they wanted to serve the people of Kenya better as a united front.

The current party officials are

  • The party leader - His Excellency The President Uhuru Muigai Kenyatta.
  • The deputy leader - His Excellency The Deputy President William Samoei Ruto.
  • The Head of Secretariat - Hon. Raphael Tuju
  • During the parties first National Governing Council (NGC) held at the Bomas of Kenya auditorium in Nairobi, on November 4, 2016, Hon. Raphael Tuju was appointed the Head of Secretariat to spearhead the re-election of the Jubilee Government.

According to the Jubilee constitution, the NGC is the second highest organ of the party.

The purpose of the merger is to: -

  • Unite the nation across diversity.
  • Build a strong mass party which is sensitive to the needs of members and effect and deliver public service to the people of Kenya.
  • Consolidate and strengthen political parties as institutions of parliamentary democracy in Kenya.
  • Merge, collapse and solidify all affiliate parties into one all-inclusive unified, re-energized and formidable mass political party which will win the 2017 and 2022 general elections, retain political power and continue the Jubilee development model of rapid socio-economic transformation, social justice, youth empowerment, inclusivity and equality into the future.
  • The idea is to develop an all-inclusive democratic rule and structure of the party at the national, grass root levels for a strong and effective political party.
  • To develop party structures that will ensure open, fair and transparent democratic elections and nominations of party candidates at all levels.
  • Secure a safe political process guaranteeing unity for all Kenyans.
  • Achieve vision 2030 through provision of better social amenities.
  • Expand human and capital resources for effective governance of the nation.
  • Avoidance of negative competition and duplication of effort.
  • Each of the political parties that merged had elected leaders at different levels of government. They are as follows:

    Jubilee Smart Card

Jubilee party made history on January 13, 2017 when they launched their Smart Card. Jubilee Party is the first political party in Africa to use a card to register its members.

Primaries have been a thorn in the flesh of many political parties around the world and we can attest to this in Kenya. However, Jubilee Party is the party with a difference. The digital party. It's not only a smart move by the Jubilee Party — it's a brilliant move and it could be a game-changer in the general elections.

Launching the membership smart card is another example of how Jubilee Party has sought to revolutionize the way politics is played. The card is intended to ensure that there will be no fraud and that the people really do choose their candidates in nominations. Jubilee knows technology can help achieve free and fair elections.

The card has been a definite game changer with rumors of other parties planning to follow suit.

    How the card works

Membership of the party is acquired by application, recommendation, nomination and registration. On payment of the prescribed fee, a member shall be issued with a membership number in a digital format and a card.

The card will ensure only registered voters who are genuine members of the party participate in the nominations. It will also make sure no one votes twice in the nominations through a system that is integrated with the voter register database. The unique smart membership card contains a member’s name, identity number and their mobile phone number.
