Personal life

When Joshua Fiedler was a child he became inspired to start playing music as both his cousin and father played guitar. Always into music, he would pretend he was in BonJovi or Mötley Crüe and began aspiring to be a musician at 15. Josh is a keen video games player and enjoys playing Xbox Live. Fiedler is a fan of South Park, Dollhouse, True Blood, Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Lost. His favourite bands include Beatles, Led Zeppelin, Sonic Youth, Radiohead, Smashing Pumpkins and Nirvana. In 2005 Josh was married during a break from touring with The Juliana Theory.

Noisome

When Josh was in High School he played with Vesta band mate Joshua Kosker in a band called Noisome. Fiedler shared in a Vesta blog "Josh and I played in a punk band called Noisome together way back in our high school days".

At age 16 Josh, along with future Juliana Theory and Confident Years drummer Neil Hebrank and Fiedler's cousin had all been playing and writing music for around a year when they got together in Neil's parents living room and played Nirvana songs at first. After Fiedler's cousin moved to Delaware they replaced him with school friend and future Juliana Theory and Vesta guitarist Josh Kosker.

The Juliana Theory

He formed The Juliana Theory in 1997 along with Chad Alan, Brett Detar, Neil Hebrank (also in Fiedler's original band Noisome), and Jeremiah Momper.

On the release on the 2002 studio album, Love, guitarist, Josh Fiedler shared in an interview "We've grown so much as a band in the two years since Emotion Is Dead. We're much better players and writers. Everything that we're doing, we're doing at a higher level - our rock songs rock harder, our beautiful songs are more beautiful and everything in between is more dynamic,"

on February 23, 2009 Fiedler took part in an absolutepunk.net chat and shared in regard to his favourite Juliana Theory studio album "Deadbeat would be my favorite... the songs were the most fun to play... sounded the best... and we worked the hardest on.."

Joshua's favourite Juliana Theory songs to play live were Killing Me, Constellation, You always Say Goodnight and Trance.

Vesta

Since The Juliana Theory's split in 2006, Joshua has remained in the music industry, working on a project known as Vesta, which now includes Chad Alan on bass and backing vocals, Joshua Kosker also formerly of The Juliana Theory on lead vocals and guitar, and Justin Niedzwecki on drums.

Vesta's first live show was on April 25, 2009, in Bowling Green, Ohio.

The band is currently working on their first release, an EP that is due to be released on October 6, 2009.
