Education and career

Bianco was born in Flushing, New York. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Georgetown University in 1988, and a Juris Doctor from Columbia Law School in 1991. He was a law clerk to Peter K. Leisure at the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York from 1992 to 1993. He was then in private practice of law in New York. He was an assistant United States Attorney from 1994 to 2003, and an adjunct professor at Fordham University Law School from 2002 to 2005. He was a deputy assistant attorney general of the Criminal Division of the United States Department of Justice from 2004 to 2005. He is currently an adjunct professor of law at Touro Law Center.

Federal judicial service

Bianco is a United States District Judge of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York. Bianco was nominated by President George W. Bush on July 28, 2005, to a seat vacated by Denis Reagan Hurley. He was confirmed by the United States Senate on December 21, 2005, and received his commission on January 3, 2006.
