Education

Ferreira graduated from Carleton College in 1991 and earned an MBA from Harvard Business School in 1997.
Professional career
From 1991 until 1995 he worked for Kaplan Inc as Academic Coordinator and then Product Director. In December 1994, prompted by student reports of recycled questions, Ferreira led a team of 22 staff members deploy ed to 9 U.S. cities to take the GRE. Kaplan, Inc then presented ETS with 150 questions, representing 70–80% of the GRE. In response, ETS significantly reduced the number of times the test was offered on the computer over the following six months, in order to address the problem of small sample size.
From 1997 to 2000, Ferreira worked as a derivatives trader for Goldman Sachs.
In 2001, he founded DizzyCity a web startup that attempted to digitize cityscapes across the world.
He then served as Strategist for the John Kerry presidential campaign, 2004.
From 2006-2008 Ferreira was a partner at Venture Capital firm Draper Atlantic, investing in new media and SaaS companies.
