History
jkr was founded in 1990 by Joe Jones, Andy Knowles & Ian Ritchie, although Joe Jones has since left the company.

Design Gazette
Between 2008 and 2013, Strategy Director Silas Amos produced a daily blog, the jkr design gazette, offering “Topical and design literate thinking for marketeers.” The Design Gazette returned in 2015 led by Strategy Director Katie Ewer (jkr Singapore).
Publications
jkr has produced 6 publications since 2009. The first two books 'Is Brad Pitt a fishfinger' and 'The Blue Lady's New Look and Other Curiosities' were written by Silas Amos and featured the trends and insights observed from the agency's Design Gazette. The most recent 4 publications titled 'Champions of Design' were based on the agency's Champions of Design series celebrating brands that use design to drive commercial advantage. The latest edition was written by Katie Ewer and focused on brands in Asia.
