Jonathan W. Galassi (born 1949 Seattle, Washington) is an American editor, and poet.

He graduated from Harvard University in 1971, and Cambridge University, with an M.A. in 1973.
He was an editor at Houghton Mifflin in 1973, senior editor at Random House from 1981 to 1986, and vice-president and executive editor at Farrar, Straus and Giroux. He was named president in 2002. He teaches at City University of New York, Writers' Institute. He was a judge for the Raiziss/de Palchi Translation Awards.
