Career

Alvez came up from River Plate´s youth system, where he never played in the first team.

In mid 2008, he went to try luck in Boston River. On 29 November November 2008, he scored his first professional goal in a 1-0 home win against Rocha.

In September 2009, he joined a modest club called Coraceros, which played in the Uruguayan Segunda División Amateur. Alvez hade an outstanding campaign scoring 13 goals. Then he moved to Platense playing in the same division and scoring 9 goals.

In early 2012, he travelled with Nicolás Milesi to Mexico to be tested by Deportivo Toluca F.C.. He remained six months playing for the youth team.

After scoring 37 goals in the Segunda División Amateur, he moved on loan to Danubio, where his performances impressed. He ended the season 15 league goals, as one of the most important players of Danubio.
