Johnny Slaughter (born November 24, 1979) is an American professional wrestler. He is best known for his appearances with World Wrestling Entertainment, and Total Nonstop Action Wrestling.

Early life

Slaughter was born in Los Angeles, California, where he spent most of his youth. At age 12 his family relocated to Alabama.

Independent Circuit (1995-2001)

In 1995 (at age 15) Slaughter joined a wrestling school in Boaz, Alabama under the tutelage of Mickey Henry & Billy Adams. Slaughter then wrestled for Mickey Henry’s American Championship Wrestling until 1997.

In 1997 Slaughter joined the ranks of a start up company called Alabama Championship Wrestling run by Frank "The Flame" Barnhill. Slaughter advanced from a wrestler, to a trainer; from trainer to head trainer; then from head trainer to a writer; all while still performing in the ring all over the country. While in ACW, Slaughter amassed an impressive amount of championships. Slaughter was a nine time ACW Junior Heavyweight Champion, six time ACW Tag Team Champion (four of those with his brother Joseph as the Slaughter Boys), Hardcore Champion, Television Champion, and five time ACW Heavyweight Champion. Throughout most of 2001 Slaughter was the head trainer alongside DeWayne Bruce at the World Wrestling Alliance 4 (WWA4) Training facility in Atlanta, GA.

World Wrestling Entertainment (2001)

On October 2, 2001 Slaughter and then partner Chris Baddstreet as Damage Inc. wrestled against WWE’s Kai En Tai on a Smackdown taping.

Total Nonstop Action (2002-2003)

In early 2002 Slaughter competed against TJ Grey on the first TNA live event alongside several other hopefuls trying to earn a spot on the NWA TNA roster. On January 4, 2003 Slaughter teamed with Chris Vaughn against David Young and Ace Steele on TNA’s weekly PPV.

Return to WWE (2002-2006)

In late 2002 and early 2003 Slaughter competed in several matches on WWE television and live events in matches against Kid Kash, Mark Jindrak, Chuck Palumbo, Chris Kanyon, and David Flair.

Deepsouth Wrestling

On September 22, 2005 Slaughter alongside his brother Joseph debuted at Deep South Wrestling against High Impact. The Slaughter Boys had a run with DSW until they left in March 2006.

Return to Independent Circuit (2006-Present)

In August 2006 Slaughter joined the ranks of American Wrestling Elite where he competed until the company folded in late 2009. Successfully defended the AWE Heavyweight Title for 16 straight months. Slaughter has been seen as of late performing for companies including in such organizations as Global Championship Wresting, NWA Anarchy, NWA Main Event, NWWA and many more across the United States.
