John Wilson (1889 – 20 September 1914) was a Scottish professional football half back who played in the Scottish League for Dumbarton and Vale of Leven.

Personal life

After the outbreak of the First World War in August 1914, Wilson enlisted as a private in The Black Watch (Royal Highlanders) in Auchterarder. He died of wounds in Paris on 20 September 1914 and was buried in the Cimetière parisien de Bagneux.
