His father, Joseph Okpisi Edevu, is a retired businessman who owned Edevson Commercial Limited, a company that distributes electronics and produces polyethylene bags. His mother, Susanna Edevu, is a poultry owner. He interacted with people of different nationalities from a young age because his father's business employed many foreigners.

After his elementary and high school education, Theodore-Edevu studied international relations at Cyprus International University in Nicosia.
In March 2014, he met a peace journalism expert during a training session in Cyprus. The expert, a communications professor at Park University in Parkville, Missouri, facilitated Theodore-Edevu's relocation to the United States a few months later. He briefly studied international politics at Park University before moving to New York City, and then to Washington, D.C., where he planned to continue studying international affairs and diplomacy. He aspires to be a diplomat.

Theodore-Edevu left Nigeria for the first time when he was almost 18 to work as a personal assistant to Fred Agogo-Mawuli, a chaplain in Ghana. He was later introduced to a Scottish physicist and bishop, Dr. Douglas Jarvie, and to Dr. Richards Innocent, a Nigerian archbishop, and became their personal assistant. Upon returning to Nigeria, he was made a public relations officer for the Delta South Youth Coalition.
He moved to Nicosia, Cyprus, with the aid of a pastor, Ayo Oritsejafor, and Comrade Oyibo, then the mayor of Sapele, Nigeria. After studying at Cyprus International University, he began visiting TV channels to discuss starting his own show. In November 2012, he was hired by Channel T as a presenter and co-producer of "Theodore’s TV Show". On the program, Theodore-Edevu conducted interviews and short conversations with people on the streets about culture, history, personal life and other topics. The program aired until December 2013.
In the same year, he made his acting debut in Saka Geliyor Gemez, a Cypriot comedy series. In January 2014, Theodore-Edevu began to produce and host another program, "Cyprus in the Spotlight", which focused on the culture, people and places of Cyprus and was telecasted in three languages: English, Greek and Turkish. The program stopped airing in July, when he left Cyprus.
