John Paul II Minor Seminary (abbreviated "JPIIMS") is the Antipolo Diocesan Formation Center for High School Students who have the desire of serving God through priesthood. The Seminary was established in 2007, it is located along Maguey Road in Barangay San Luis in Antipolo City, which is part of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Antipolo under its diocesan bishop, Gabriel V. Reyes, with Francisco M. De Leon as the coadjutor bishop.

Contents

The seminary began with forty-eight (48) First Year seminarians on June 2007, who came from the Province of Rizal and some in Manila area. For the academic year 2010-2011 came the first batch of graduates.

Formators

When the seminary was erected, Mabini "Butch" O. Cabildo served as its first Rector from 2007-2010. When he celebrated his 10th sacerdotal anniversary (years in the priesthood), he was granted a sabbatical leave so the position was left vacant. Joselito "Lito" A. Santos, the Prefect of Discipline was assigned Acting Rector. On August 4, 2011, the feast of St. John Mary Vianney, Reyes appointed Jose Bautista, Rector of the Seminary. He was succeeded by Neil Vincent M. Tacbas in May 2016.

Education

Teachers from the Our Lady of Peace School, the cathedral school of the Parish of the Immaculate Conception in the City of Antipolo, come to instruct the seminarians everyday from June to March. The seminarians get the same instruction as to the one in OLPS.

Maria Josefina B. Cangayda served as the seminary's first principal. Maria Marilou Madronero is the second and current principal of the seminary

Facilities

In order to raise funds for its construction, a number of Fund Raising Activities were held within the diocese. Finally, the first Seminary Buildings were completed and blessed on October 3, 2007. After a year and a half, the second building was completed. The seminary chapel (dedicated under the title of St. John Mary Vianney) was finished recently. It was blessed and inaugurated by the Apostolic Nuncio to the Philippines, Edward Joseph Adams, last September 4, 2010 in the presence of Gabriel V. Reyes (Bishop of Antipolo), Francisco M. de Leon (Coadjutor-Bishop of Antipolo), priests, men & women religious, seminarians and their parents, and lay leaders of the Diocese of Antipolo.
