The school was formerly named Thames Bridge college which had 3 headteachers, in 2005 Thames Bridge had their best ofsted report and then was later closed.

In November 2015 the school was placed in special measures for a second time.

Architecture

The building was designed by international architecture firm Wilkinson Eyre and it was shortlisted for an award at the World Architecture Festival 2008.
