Joh (pronounced jooh) is a village located in Una district, in the northern state of Himachal Pradesh. Joh's population is 851, with a sex ratio of 1046. Most of the residents today are farmers. The village is located on a 585 m hill, 8 km from Dalautpur town. The village is also near Pong Dam, Chintpurni temple, It contains four villages: Saloh, Pirthipur, Beh, and Sikri.

It is believed that, before 1002, no one lived at the location. In 1002, a famine occurred in Ramsar Tehsil, Barmaer, Rajasthan. A Mewari Bhramin family and a tribal family then moved into the area in search of food, water and shelter, and founded the municipality.

The famous dishes of Redo and Dham come from this area.

The entire community this village and surrounding areas consisting of 4–5 villages i.e. Saloh, Pirthipur, Dangoh, Gangret, Maloun, and Gindpur, have matching Dogri language and culture. Prior to written history, the people of Joh were nomadic and traveled with sheep, goats, and cattle eventually settled after the planting of maize and wheat.

Nowadays population of monkeys is increasing day by day. All the land in village is lying idle as there is no irrigation system in place and monkeys are destroying the crops.

MANREGA, NAREGA and what not else schemes are in full force. you cannot expect a labour from the village to work for you. They are sitting idle while working under these schemes.
