Maloy was born in Somers Point, New Jersey and grew up in Wildwood Crest, New Jersey, where he attended Wildwood Catholic High School.
In September 2016, Maloy was named Grand Marshall of the 25th Annual Irish Fall Festival in Wildwood, New Jersey. He was honored on September 25 at St. Ann's Catholic Church by the Ancient Order of Hibernians.
