After a brief period of non-musician roadies filling the vacant bass player slot in The Stooges, James Williamson brought in Recca, who became the first credible replacement for original Stooges bass player Dave Alexander. This under-documented line-up was potentially their most powerful, featuring Jimmy on bass supporting both Ron Asheton and James Williamson on twin lead guitars.
