James Denis Daly (born 20 December 1972) is an Irish Fine Gael politician who has served as Minister of State for Mental Health and Older People since June 2017. He has been a Teachta Dála (TD) since 2011, currently for the Cork South–West constituency. He previously served as Chair of the Committee on Children and Youth Affairs from 2016 to 2017.

Prior to being elected to the Dáil he was a member of Cork County Council for the Skibbereen electoral area from 2004 to 2011. He ran unsuccessfully for the Seanad in 2007.
A native of Drinagh, Daly is from a family of 11 children. He attended secondary school at Maria Immaculata, Dunmanway.
He studied at NUI Maynooth, and Mary Immaculate College, Limerick becoming a primary school teacher.
After appearing on Tonight with Vincent Browne in 2012, Daly was diagnosed with skin cancer by a doctor watching at home.
