Jim Borst is a Roman Catholic Dutch Missionary of Saint Joseph's Missionary Society of Mill Hill commonly called Mill Hill Missionaries. He is an active member of Roman Catholic Diocese of Jammu–Srinagar. He is a well known spiritual leader throughout India and abroad. He is a frequent speaker at many conventions and seminars. In 2011, he was summoned by Sharia Court and served a Fatwa in 2012 following which he was given a Quit India Notice from Kashmir's Foreigners Registration Office. He is the only Mill Hill Missionary serving in the Kashmir Valley at present.

Early life
He was born on 3 August 1930 in the Netherlands and was ordained a priest for Saint Joseph's Missionary Society of Mill Hill on 7 May 1957. He started to serve his mission as a priest in Jammu and Kashmir, India, in the year 1963.
Writings
Field of education
He was Principal of St. Joseph's School (Baramulla) from year 1974 to 1975 and served as a Parish Priest of St. Joseph's Catholic Church (Baramulla), where Sister M. Teresalina Joaquina FMM was martyred. He directed Burn Hall School Srinagar as well for some time. He also translated the Holy Bible into the local Kashmiri language.
Fr. Jim started two charitable schools, one in Srinagar and other in Pulwama by the name "Good Shepherd Mission School". He lives in priest house at Holy Family Catholic Church (Srinagar) He is author of several books and articles.
