Government and politics
Jillelguda municipality is the civic body of the town. On 11 April 2016, the gram panchayat of Jillelguda was upgraded to Jillelguda municipality.
It is a part of the Chevella Lok Sabha constituency and Maheshwaram constituency of Telangana Legislative Assembly. Teegala Krishna Reddy is the present MLA of this constituency.
