Contents
JibInfo created competitive advantage through a proprietary integration process rooted in mass customization. Mass customization is the process of adding operational flexibility in a production process whereby changes take place with negligible or no effect to continuous flow.
JibInfo was responsible for developing mass customization portals allowing smaller businesses to compete with global enterprises such as Cafe Press. Such companies could benefit from delivering a flexible system to their local customers, via a white label portal on their own websites. The first company to take advantage of JibInfo's innovative approach was Imprint Plus, who is now using the technology to drive their business. Other companies taking advantage of the technology are the Agricultural Bank of China and The Better Yearbook Company.
History
JibInfo System Inc. was founded in 2009 by Dan Su. The company received a substantial investment from an undisclosed private equity group.
Business model
JibInfo develops partnerships with novelty product designers in order to fulfill highly customized, event-specific merchandise. The products include t-shirts, campaign buttons, mugs and calendars. JibInfo creates the e-commerce portals for their customers, clients and partners and then provides them with the necessary online product design software. The end users of the JibInfo partners then use this software to design their own graphics and customized items.
Brands
JibInfo currently has two primary brands: its flagship brand, JibInfo.ca, and its online product design software brand, Chameleon.
