History
JetXtra.com was founded in 2012. Upon initial launch the company was subject to a legal objection by Jet2.com, a dispute over the use of the word 'jet' caused a delay to the start of flights.
In December 2012 JetXtra.com announced flights would commence from May 2013 from Humberside Airport. Flights commenced on 28 May 2013 using a Volotea Boeing 717. For the summer season of 2014 JetXtra operated services to Alicante and Palma de Mallorca from Humberside, using a BA CityFlyer Embraer E-Jet aircraft.
