Early life

Jerry G. Angelo was born in Los Angeles, California and raised in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Most of his formative years were spent in New Mexico. He was introduced to Hollywood and at an early age, and enjoyed John Wayne westerns, The Rat Pack, Abbott & Costello, Gene Kelly musicals and classic films.

Angelo graduated from El Dorado High School in Albuquerque, New Mexico where he lettered in varsity football, and also played soccer. He played Division I football at the University of New Mexico, and Division II football at Las Vegas Highlands University in Las Vegas, New Mexico while attending graduate school. Angelo declined an opportunity to try out for XFL team the Las Vegas Outlaws

Political career

As an activist for human rights, Angelo became a lobbyist for Hospice and its affiliations under the auspices of Bryan Ortiz (Democrat from New Mexico). Angelo lobbied for gross receipts, and taxes implementing a bill that eliminated gross receipts double taxation. He was also involved in assisting the late Tom Mills who ran for land commissioner of New Mexico.

Angelo was actively involved as assistant to the Pro tempore of the New Mexico Senate, and the majority Whip for the New Mexico House of Representatives. Angelo worked for National Commission of Entrepreneurs on Capitol Hill in Washington, DC, for executive director Patrick Von Bargen.

Early acting career

In 2006, Angelo debuted his first short at the Santa Fe International Film Festival. The film introduced him as a producer, and actor in the acclaimed drama Highway to Santa Fe, a film about an angel in the form of Kokopelli who is picked up as a hitch hiker to save the soul of a father tormented by the death of his son.

How to Kiss a Frog was inspired by the loss of his father to lung cancer. The film tells the story of a young boy who creates an imaginary friend to assist him with the trials of having to learn about hospice and the dying process.

Angelo has collected awards for performances, directing attributes and as producer, and Best Actor awards. Angelo began producing music videos for the six-time Grammy-nominated James Douglas Show. Angelo was instrumental in producing the 1st Albuquerque Comic Con Film Festival, producer and event planner for the Heart Foundation of Santa Fe, which assisted children and youths with finding "forever parents", production engineer for the music videos for Juan Gambino (New Mexico's Artist of the Year 2010), and is in the production and engineering stage for Billy Lovelost's album, Sun vs. Shadow. Angelo has been active in establishing the Stage Acting Academy and Screenwriting Apprenticeship.

Professional acting career

Upon his arrival into Hollywood, Angelo auditioned for an acting part for film The Control Group which landed him an acting role alongside Academy Award nominated actor Brad Dourif. The film was shot on location in Fergus Falls, Minnesota.

In 2010, Angelo launched his first film production company Fire Born Films which evolved into Fire Born Studios with Kodi Saint Angelo. The studio has acquired 37 films, and Angelo is expanding Fire Born Films internationally.

In 2011 in New Mexico, Angelo teamed with Jay Durrwachter to produce and star in the feature film The Deception'. Angelo completed the film production through post production to its completion to bring it to the film festival circuit.

Fire Born Studios has teamed with Sky Entertainment partnering with Timothy Woodward, Jr., and Lauren De Normandie to produce 7 Faces of Jack the Ripper and Dead Ringer, which are being negotiated with New Line Cinema, a subsidiary of Universal Studios.

Angelo has acquired the rights to producing the life story of a Negro boxer during the turn of the century.
