High school

Born and raised in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Meyinsse attended high school and played basketball at McKinley Senior High School. Averaged 18.5 points, 11 rebounds, five blocked shots and three assists a game for McKinley High School as a senior. Was the team captain and earned second-team Class 4A All-State honors and was selected to play with the East team in the Louisiana High School Coaches Association All-Star game.
College career

Meyinsse played college basketball at the University of Virginia with the Virginia Cavaliers.
Professional career

In his pro career, Meyinsse has played since 2010 in several teams of Argentina and Brazil.

In January 2013 he was cut by Sionista and joined Regatas Corrientes and won the Liga Nacional de Básquet league in May 2013.
Meyinsse next step was to play for Flamengo of the Brazilian League. With his argentinian friend Nicolas Laprovittola and guard Vitor Benite had a great time in Brazil, winning several tournaments. For the 2016-17 season joined San Lorenzo de Almagro of the Liga Nacional de Basquet and won for 2nd time the argentinian league under coach Julio Lamas.
Personal life
Because of his fluency in the Portuguese language and quick adaptation to the Brazilian culture, Meyinsse became a fan favorite in Rio de Janeiro. He was nicknamed, "The Big One", by Flamengo supporters, and was one of the most popular basketball players in Brazil. Meyinsse is usually the subject of many local news articles, due to his outrageous posts on Instagram.
