He also produced and wrote the TV3 documentary - Maddie: Secrets of the Dossier - which promised revelations about the disappearance of Madeleine McCann and a news documentary about child abuse in the Catholic Church. Throughout Jerome's career he has interviewed many household names such as: Sarah Jessica Parker, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Meryl Streep and Bill Clinton.

Jerome was also one of TV3's foremost reporters in the 2007 Irish general election, joining newsreader Alan Cantwell and Jenny McCudden at the country's largest count centre, the RDS in Dublin, on Friday May 25, 2007 as the counting got underway.

He once asked Enda Kenny a question that he could not answer.

Death threat

On Friday the 13th of July 2007, while Jerome was reporting for TV3 (at an inquest into the death of an Irish prisoner) outside Dublin City Coroner's Court, he received a death threat live on air. Jerome was reporting for the main evening news when shouting could be heard coming from behind him. A man wearing a brown hoodie approached Jerome and pulled up his hood. "I'll blow your fucking head off", the man shouted. The man continued to make a gun shape with his hand at Jerome's face and said, "Ya fuckin' muppet" before it cuts back to the studio. There were fears for Jerome's life while the Irish Daily Star and his local radio station Highland Radio reported on the incident.
